Kola Ologbondiyan, the former National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has made some serious allegations against President Bola Tinubu’s administration. He claims that the government is implementing anti-democratic strategies aimed at undermining democracy and pushing Nigeria toward a one-party state.
Ologbondiyan cites several recent events to support his claims. For instance, he mentions the National Security Adviser (NSA), Nuhu Ribadu’s, directive to Canada regarding a visa-related issue, which he believes could have been resolved diplomatically. He also points out that the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yusuf Tuggar, has been busy with domestic affairs in Bauchi instead of focusing on diplomacy.
Additionally, Ologbondiyan references the alleged attack on Osun State, which he claims was coordinated by the cousin of President Tinubu, former Governor Gboyega Oyetola. He also mentions the call for a state of emergency in Osun State by the National Secretary of the APC, Senator Ajibola Bashiru.
Ologbondiyan further alleges that there was an attempt to force out the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly and return the removed Speaker to office. He claims that security agents from the DSS and Police worked against the wishes of the Assembly.
These allegations are quite serious, and it’s clear that Ologbondiyan believes the Tinubu administration is taking steps to undermine democracy in Nigeria.
