Newborn found dead inside carton in Kano

A tragic incident occurred in Tudun Tagarji, Kano State, where a newborn baby was found abandoned in a carton near a drainage area. The discovery was made by the Operation Zaman Lafiya vigilante group during a routine patrol. Unfortunately, the baby was already dead. The vigilantes reported the incident to the police, who directed them to a hospital for confirmation. The baby was given a burial in accordance with Islamic teachings. The incident highlights the importance of addressing unwanted pregnancies and the need for parents to guide their children, particularly young women, to make informed decisions.
