Nigeria’s Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his unwavering support of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) in combating illegal migration and enhancing border management. Key Highlights of the Minister’s Commendations:

The Controller General of Immigration Service, Kemi Nandap during her Unveiling of the NIS Career Progression and Training Policy Framework and Gender Mainstreaming Policy commended the Federal Government of Nigeria for the successful formulation and implementation of such laudable policies in Abuja. The CGIS also expressed gratitude to the government for its continued support, describing the event as a milestone in the service’s history.
In her remark, she posited that the NIS has developed key policy documents to guide the efficient and effective management of human resources, training and retraining personnel are crucial for professionalism and efficiency, the service is committed to rigorous and transparent recruitment processes and the NIS Gender Policy aims to integrate gender considerations into all aspects of the service’s operations.
