Portable, a controversial Nigerian singer, has claimed he’s a madman undergoing treatment at the Federal Neuropsychiatric Hospital, Aro, Abeokuta. This comes after he was declared wanted by the Ogun State Police Command for allegedly leading a violent attack on three government officials.
According to reports, the officials from the Ogun State Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development were conducting an enforcement exercise when they encountered Portable’s father. Despite his father’s initial claim that Portable was unavailable, the singer later appeared with a firearm and other weapons, leading a gang of nine thugs in a violent attack on the unarmed officials.
Portable has taken to Instagram to appeal to Nigerians and the Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, claiming he was set up because of his support for Senator Adeola Solomon. He also stated that he has a card at Aro hospital to prove his mental health treatment and claimed he’s not a thief, but rather someone who helps those around him.
