🔹Enzo Maresca on Palmer playing 90 minutes and Kane’s comments: “My reaction is we finished the game 10 minutes ago, we won 2-1. There is no comments. I’m not thinking about Harry Kane or what he’s saying.”
🔹Enzo Maresca on if he is putting pressure on Palmer not playing for England: “Absolutely not.”
🔹Enzo Maresca on what level Jackson can get to: “For me, he’s doing very well. He is working hard on and off the ball. He is making an effort to understand the way we play. We are very happy with Nico, especially with the way he is off the ball, the way he is pressing. We’re sure he’s going to get better.”
🔹Enzo Maresca on Neto and Gusto absence: “Malo was with us but during the night he didn’t feel well. Pedro had a problem with the international team and we didn’t want to take any risks.”
🔹Enzo Maresca on the tackle on Palmer: “I don’t think the target is Cole. I said after the Man United game, when there is bad intention, it has to be a different punishment from the referee. I’m not saying Wilf had a bad intention because I love Wilf. It’s not just our players. For me, it’s general. Whenever there is bad intention, the punishment has to be different. Should it have been a red? I don’t think so, to be honest.”
🔹Enzo Maresca on James injury: “We didn’t have any update on Reece. We have to wait, he will do a scan again and we will see.”
🔹Enzo Maresca on Fernandez performance: “Enzo did very well today. He is doing well since we started. It depends on the game-plan, we use different type of players. I think he did very well. I’m trying to convince Enzo in the way I did last year with Ndidi and Kiernan that attacking midfielders have to come into the box and today he did.”
